What We Do

Sales staff are responsible for finding new sources of sales opportunities. Maintaining good relations with existing customers is very important as this will sustain a company through difficult economic times. Relationship building is a critical skill set for a sales team member, and the ability to work as a team and in support of one another is critical.

THE NITTY GRITTY

Sales team members spend time generating sales through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. Sales staff perform pre-call preparation including company background research and other pertinent lead information. Sales staff maintain relationships with new and existing customers to identify customer's buying trends and provide reports to management. Critical work must be performed routinely to maintain CRM (Customer Relationship Management) information on leads, prospects, and opportunities. Sales staff must be knowledgeable about their products so that they can answer customers' questions about services, prices, availability, or credit terms. Seasoned and new sales staff attend sales or trade meetings or read related publications to obtain information about market conditions, business trends, regulations, or industry developments.
